Proposed changes to Section 21 of the Housing Act 1988 look set to be implemented. But what potential impact could this have on the private rented sector? 

Some have suggested a drop in the amount of properties being let by private landlords and grid-lock in the County Courts.

The suggestion from the Ministry of Housing is that there will be consequential changes to the Court system. These are highly likely to be needed if Grounds for possession are argued in every case. I look forward to seeing these consequential amendments.
